Privacy Policy

This policy explains what DogTrainingApp ("the app", "we") collects, why, and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email info@dogtrainingtracker.co.uk.

Who this policy covers

Anyone who creates an account and uses the app.

What we collect

We only collect what the app needs to work. We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Data	Why we have it
Email address	To create your account and sign you in.
Your name (the display name you enter when you create or join a household)	So other members of your household and your trainer can see who logged a session or asked a question.
Dog details you enter — name, birthday, notes	To show and organise your training.
Training content you create — exercise plans, session logs, success/miss and timing data, notes	This is the core purpose of the app.
Short training videos — only the specific clips you choose to attach to a feedback request	So your trainer can watch them and reply. Clips you don't explicitly share stay on your device.
Local notification settings	To send your training reminders. These are scheduled on your device; we do not send remote push notifications.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos library, browsing history, or device advertising identifiers.

Camera and microphone

The app asks for camera and microphone access only when you tap Record to capture a training video. Both are optional and the app is fully usable without granting them.

How your data is shared

• Within your household. Everything you log is visible to the other members of that household. People join a household only by entering its private invite code — there is no directory, search, public profile, or public feed.
• With your trainer. If you invite a trainer to your household with the invite code, they can see that household's training data and any video clips you attach to a feedback request.
• With no one else. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Where your data is stored

Account and training data is stored using Supabase (a hosted Postgres database and file storage provider), on servers operated by Amazon Web Services. Data is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted by per-household security rules so one household cannot read another's data.

How long we keep it

• Training data is kept until you delete it or delete your account.
• Shared video clips are deleted automatically: when the trainer marks the request done, roughly 14 days after the trainer replies, or roughly 45 days if the request is never answered — whichever comes first. You can also remove a shared clip yourself at any time.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account from inside the app: Team tab → Delete account. This removes your sign-in and your training data. Any household you own is deleted for everyone in it, including its dogs, plans, and session history. This cannot be undone.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, note it in the app.
