Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 September 2026
These terms cover your use of DogTrainingApp ("the app", "we"). By creating an account you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, email info@dogtrainingtracker.co.uk.
What the app is
A shared training log for a household and, optionally, a dog trainer: plans, session history, and a way to ask your trainer for feedback on a clip. It's built for a small number of people who know and trust each other — there's no public directory, search, or feed.
Accounts and households
- You need an account (email + password) to use the app.
- A household's invite code is effectively a key to that household's data — don't share it with anyone you don't want to see or add to your dogs' training. You're responsible for who you share it with.
- Anyone who joins a household (a partner, or a trainer) can see that household's dogs, plans, and session history, and any video clip attached to a feedback request.
- You must be old enough in your country to agree to these terms yourself (typically 16 or over); the app isn't directed at children under 13 and shouldn't be used to create accounts for them.
Your content
- You keep ownership of what you enter — dog details, session notes, and any video you upload.
- By attaching a clip to a feedback request, you're giving the people in that household (including any trainer in it) permission to view it for the purpose of giving you feedback. We don't use your content for anything else, and we don't sell it — see the Privacy Policy for how it's stored and when it's deleted.
- Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share, or anything illegal, abusive, or that identifies someone (person or dog) without their consent.
Trainers and training advice
- If you use the app to connect with a trainer, that relationship — and any advice given through it — is between you and the trainer. We don't vet, certify, or supervise trainers, and we're not a party to that relationship.
- Nothing in the app is professional, veterinary, or behavioral advice from us. Training outcomes depend on many factors outside the app's control; we don't guarantee any result.
- If you or your trainer are ever concerned about a dog's health, safety, or behavior, get in-person professional help rather than relying on the app.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- try to access a household you haven't been invited to, or share its invite code to let someone in without the other members' knowledge;
- use the app to harass, abuse, or endanger anyone;
- interfere with the service (e.g. attempt to break its security or overload it);
- use it for anything illegal.
We can suspend or remove an account that does any of this.
Service availability
This is a small, actively-developed app, currently in beta. We do our reasonable best to keep it working and your data intact, but it's provided "as is", without guarantees of uptime, and features and this document may change as the app develops. We'll try to give notice of significant changes inside the app.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Team → Delete account. This is permanent, removes your sign-in and training data, and — if you own a household — deletes that household for everyone in it, including its dogs, plans, and session history. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what's removed and when.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, or for training decisions made using it. Nothing here limits any liability that can't legally be limited (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
If we make a significant change we'll update the date above and note it in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
